Samantha Madar is a photojournalist based in Columbus, Ohio. Originally from a small town north of Lansing, Michigan called St. Johns, she was the Photo Editor for Central Michigan Life for Spring 2014, and a photo intern at Central Michigan University of Communications for a year in 2015. Samantha Madar was the photo intern at the Jackson Citizen Patriot for MLive for one year in 2016 and worked as a photo intern at PennLive for summer 2017. Madar recently graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Photojournalism. Since college Madar has freelanced for the Midland Daily News and was the 2018 summer photo intern at the Toledo Blade, and the fall 2018 photo intern at the Columbus Dispatch, and was is a Staff Photojournalist for the Standard-Examiner in Ogden, Utah. Madar spent four years in Wisconsin; two years with USA TODAY- Wisconsin based in Wausau and Green Bay, and two years in Madison with the Wisconsin State Journal. Currently, Madar is a photojournalist for the Columbus Dispatch in Columbus, Ohio.
